Which System is Right for You?
Each of these systems are great for new construction and re-roofing projects. However, for re-roofing projects it will depend on your current system type.
TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin)
Great for a variety of commercial roofing applications is reflective, resilient, and offers many design options. This system is heat welded and can be mechanically fastened or fully adhered. Its greatest feature is that it comes in a variety of colors such as white, grey and tan.
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)
Is a versatile membrane that offers a variety of installation options. This system can be ballasted, partially or fully adhered, or mechanically fastened. EPDM roof systems are cost effective in that they cover large roofing areas, requiring less seams and black membrane systems absorb heat creating more energy cost savings for customers that own them. Its key features include energy savings longevity low expansion contraction ratios and has great thermal performance
Built Up Roof
A system composed of several layers of bitumen surfaces with the membrane surface being covered with an aggregate surface or layer. There are two types of built up roof systems cold applied or hot applied. This system also provides great waterproofing and ultra violent protection is relatively low maintenance and lasts longer because of in-climate weather- expansion/ contraction phases do not affect this system type so harshly.
Modified Bitumen Roofing
Used for new construction and re-roofing projects modified bitumen membranes are strong and resilient with inter layers of polyester or fiber matting to reinforce the membrane and make it weather resistant. Modified bitumen comes in smooth or granulated textures and black and white, and is adhered to the system and roof deck by torch
Sheet Metal Roofing
Great for industrial commercial buildings and modern architecture, sheet metal roofing comes in a variety of finishes and material styles and designs. This system type allows the architect to be creative and give your building a look to amaze.
